Allah stated in the Quran that He revealed books for the benefit of people over time. He sent them down to prophets via various methods. Believing in the four revealed Holy Books is compulsory in Islam. This is because it’s one of the six articles of faith. Allah revealed all the four Muslim Holy Books as His uncreated word. He sent them to the prophets and their people to guide them.
Allah has mentioned the four holy books that He revealed in the Quran. One is the Zabur or the Psalms, given to Dawud AS (David), another is the Tawrat or the Torah, given to Musa AS (Moses), then we have the Injeel or the Gospel, given to Isa AS (Jesus), and lastly, we have the Quran sent to Muhammad (PBUH). Out of all of these books, we only affirm the current status of the Quran as being in its original form. Allah told us that the other books were for specific nations and that humans corrupted them. However, Allah promised to preserve the Quran, and He did that. The Quran is the only revealed book that still exists in its original form as Allah revealed it.
